Traci Lords Joins the Bundy Breakdown Thursday, October 1st!
Published 9 Comments

Thursday, October 1st at 6:00 PM Pacific, the one and only Traci Lords is joining us live on the Bundy Breakdown Zoom.

Hey Bundy Club fam… I hope you are all having a great week. I have some really exciting news to share. Traci Lords is coming to the Bundy Breakdown! That is right… the woman who played T.C. the dental assistant in “Tooth or Consequences” AND Vanessa Van Pelt the shoe detective in “Al Bundy, Shoe Dick” is sitting down with us live this Thursday, October 1st on the Married with Children Bundy Breakdown.

If you were around for those Married with Children episodes, you know exactly how great she was. Two very different characters, two totally different vibes, and she crushed both of them. And if you dig into her story beyond the show, it gets even more interesting. Traci has lived one of the most remarkable second-act stories in all of Hollywood.

How Our Zoom Watch Parties Work

We pick the episodes and tell you which ones ahead of time.
You watch them on your own time.
We go live on Zoom with me and the crew for discussion, stories, and questions.

It is like a book club… but for Married with Children episodes.

Who Is Traci Lords?

Traci Lords (born Nora Louise Kuzma on May 7, 1968) is an actress, singer, and author who completely reinvented herself as a mainstream performer. After studying method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in the late ’80s, she set out to prove she could hold her own with anyone on screen. And she did exactly that.

Her breakout mainstream role came in the 1988 sci-fi film Not of This Earth, a Roger Corman remake where she carried the entire movie. From there, she landed the role of Wanda Woodward opposite Johnny Depp in John Waters’ Cry-Baby (1990), which became a cult classic. She went on to appear in Blade (1998) with Wesley Snipes, Virtuosity (1995) with Denzel Washington, and a string of horror and genre films including Excision (2012), which earned her a Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Supporting Actress.

On the TV side, Traci showed up on some of the biggest shows of the ’90s and 2000s. She appeared on Melrose Place, Roseanne, Gilmore Girls, Will & Grace, Tales from the Crypt, MacGyver, Profiler, First Wave, and Highlander: The Series. The woman has serious range.

Beyond acting, Traci released her debut album 1000 Fires in 1995. The lead single “Control” landed on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack and went double platinum. She also wrote her autobiography, Traci Lords: Underneath It All, which hit The New York Times bestseller list in 2003. Her story of reinvention and resilience is truly one of the most compelling in the entertainment industry.

And of course… she brought all of that energy to Married with Children in two unforgettable guest appearances.

The Episodes We Are Breaking Down

“Tooth or Consequences” (Season 4, Episode 4)

Traci plays T.C., the gorgeous dental assistant who has Al completely losing his mind in the dentist’s chair. This is one of those classic early-season Married with Children episodes where Ed just nails every single reaction shot. Al is trying so hard to keep it together and failing in the most hilarious way possible. If you have not seen this one in a while, go back and watch it… it holds up big time.

“Al Bundy, Shoe Dick” (Season 6, Episode 11)

In this one, Traci plays Vanessa Van Pelt, a mysterious woman who hires Al as a private shoe detective. It is one of the more creative Married with Children episodes the show ever did, and Traci plays it perfectly opposite Ed. The chemistry between them is fantastic, and the whole noir spoof vibe makes it something totally different from a typical episode. This is a fun one.

What to Expect Thursday

We will screen both episodes, break down the best moments, and give Traci plenty of room to share stories from her time on the Married with Children set and from her incredible career. Bring your questions. Whether you want to know about working with Ed O’Neill, what it was like filming those scenes, her time on Cry-Baby with Johnny Depp, or anything else from her decades in the business… this is the night to ask.

These Zooms have a way of turning into something bigger than just an episode breakdown, and with Traci in the mix we are expecting an incredible night.

Join Us Live

This one is for members. Premium members get the Zoom link closer to the event, and the replay will be available afterward for those who cannot make it live.

Whether you are an Elite Sloucher, a Slacker Starter, a Bundy Lurker, or just starting out as a Freeloader… you are welcome. The more the merrier.

Do not miss this one. Traci Lords live on the Bundy Breakdown is going to be one of our best nights yet.

How do you get in if the email link doesn’t work?

My next question is how to cancel subscription/membership to this site? Pointless to pay anything if you can’t get into Zoom webinars. Never had trouble getting into any Zoom webinars before when I tried.

interesting. Not a single other person had a problem. I’ll make sure we cancel yours. ✌️

    OK, thanks, David.

no problem bro. Sorry rhat was your experience. My gut tells me you didn’t scroll ALL THE WAY down to the end of the email that was sent, to the little blue box that says “Join Webinar”, and that you were hitting one of the other links that wasn’t taking you to the right place…

What a great Zoom. One of my favorite out-of-the-box episodes was Show Dick. Love the Zucker Bros. infused style humor in this one. So many great lines and quite a few popular gifs originated from this episode.

If Traci comes back, she could be a great regular coucher just chatting about the episode!

she was a really great guest. She sent me a few messages today saying how much fun she had!
