Some episodes are written with the expectation of chaos. “Her Cups Runneth Over” was one. The moment the script reading ended, we all looked around and said, “Oh yeah… this is going to get attention.”
This was one of the first episodes that pushed the envelope so far that networks got nervous: lingerie stores, outrageous jokes, Al at peak frustrated husband energy.
The live audience loved it. Critics hated it. And America couldn’t stop talking about it.
