Kelly needs to learn archery for an audition, and Bud agrees to coach her because Amber finds supportive brothers appealing. Al, meanwhile, has bought an owl costume and is sitting in the backyard tree to scare off a bird. The two plots meet.
Season 9 Episode 14: The Naked and the Dead, But Mostly the Naked
Peg and her friends announce they are coming to the nudie bar to find out what the appeal is, so NO MA’AM holds a strategy meeting in the garage. Bud turns out to already be a regular. Kelly is cast in a commercial for a weight loss shake.
Season 9 Episode 13: I Want My Psycho Dad (2)
NO MA’AM fly to Washington to testify before a Senate committee about getting Psycho Dad reinstated, having each told their wives a different lie about where they are going. Back home, Bud and Kelly throw a party that makes the national news.

Psycho Dad is cancelled, so NO MA’AM mounts a protest outside the television station in brutal cold and then leaves to get warm before the news cameras arrive. With nobody in Chicago paying attention, they decide to take it to Washington. Part one of two.
Season 9 Episode 11: A Man for No Seasons
The baseball strike cancels the season, so NO MA’AM starts its own league with sponsorship from the only businesses willing to pay. Griff is initiated into the group. Six real major leaguers appear as themselves, and Joe Morgan interviews Al.
Season 9 Episode 10: Dud Bowl
A teammate’s funeral brings the old Polk High Panthers together, and a rival half back turns up to demand they finally play the championship game that was cancelled in 1966. Both sides recruit, and the other team’s ringers include four real NFL players.
Season 9 Episode 9: No Pot to Pease In
Kelly’s sitcom audition turns into an interview about her family, and the producer builds a show out of it. The Bundys then have to watch a thinly disguised version of themselves on television every week. Jefferson is not happy with his portrayal.
Season 9 Episode 8: Sleepless in Chicago
Jefferson buys Marcy a nurse Barbie and then learns it is worth fifty thousand dollars, but she will not put it down. His plan requires Al to lie next to her in the dark while he makes the swap. Kelly goes brunette for a public service announcement.
Season 9 Episode 7: Dial “B” for Virgin
Bud’s community service placement has him staffing a hotline for young women trying to stay chaste, which is the one subject he is least equipped to advise on. Kelly spends the episode prank calling him. Then he has to make a house call.
