What’s your go-to episode?

You have 30 minutes to spare and want to watch an episode of Married With Children? Do you have any specific episodes you always go to? I’m not just saying favorite episodes, more like “comfort” episodes. For me these are my favorite ones:
– Hot off the Grill – The last two minutes is possibly the funniest scene in MWC history. Christina’s facial reaction after Marcy says where her Aunt’s urn is was perfect.
-Stepford Peg – I know season 11 doesn’t always have the best rep but I thought the first half of the season was very creative. Peg getting amnesia took advantage of every joke imaginable. Plus one of the last No Ma’am appearances as they didn’t really have many episodes in the final season.
– You’re Cooking with Butter – The moment when Al and the studio audience realizes who is behind the phone line is great. I loved Ed’s acting on it as he and the crowd discover what’s happening at the same time.
– You Better Shop Around Part 1 and 2 – Just such an absurd concept and “Supermarket Sweep” in the second part was amazing.
– For Whom the Bell Tolls – Probably the first of The World vs. Al episodes.
Oh and so many many more!

I think for me it is “Al with Kelly” (5/02).
It’s the one where Al and Kelly pretend to be sick so they don’t have to go with Peggy — and then Kelly actually gets sick, leaving Al to take care of her.
I’ve always loved Al and Kelly together.

great episode picks. I think mine is “Johnny B. Goodes”. or was it Johnny B. Gone”. Anyeay thar is a very comforting episode for me and I have very fons memories of shooting that one. Great post idea as well.
My go-to is any episode where I’m not getting roasted by my own sister, which leaves me with roughly none of them. So I’ll settle for the ones where Dad chases that fourth touchdown of glory and winds up face down at the shoe store. Real comfort viewing in this family.
My go-tos are usually Al & Peg heavy or more family oriented. That said, Season 4 is full of bangers: Hot Off The Grill, Tooth and Consequences, Who’ll Stop The Rain.
Or perhaps Wedding Show – a bottle ep for Al & Peg, and a monumental event for Bud! 😉
Finally, somebody remembers the Wedding Show was MY monumental moment and not just another Al and Peg bottle episode. One of the rare times this family let me hold the spotlight, and naturally nobody has mentioned it since until you. Excellent taste, BundyAnna.
My go-tos are probably “Johnny’s B Gone” Al “the pig” Bundy with his record of eating 10 bags of fries or “High IQ”where Al and Jefferson attempt to put a work bench together and Peggy and Marcy exchanging Polaroids of their failed attempts or “Build a Better Mouse Trap”. Always a laugh when Al gasses himself and Steve.
