Al makes a deal with death, and death looks just like Peggy. Al has begged for the end plenty of times, so seeing him try to negotiate his way out of it is hilarious.

This clip comes from Married with Children Season 8 Episode 7, "Take My Wife, Please." The Grim Reaper finally shows up for Al, and she looks just like Peggy. While Al tries to bargain, Marcy talks Peggy, Bud, Kelly and Jefferson into impersonating the Village People at a party.

The Al and Peg dynamic is a big reason the show still lands decades later. Their sniping is sharp, but underneath it there is a strange kind of loyalty that keeps fans coming back.

Scenes like this are what made the Bundys one of television's most memorable families. Moments like this are why Married with Children is still quoted today. The writing is sharp, the timing is perfect and the Bundys never try to be anything other than themselves.
