Guest stars always told us the same thing after filming: “This show is wild.”

Most of them came from traditional sitcoms with rigid structure. They walked onto our set and immediately felt the difference. The energy was louder. The jokes were sharper. The audience reactions were bigger. The cast chemistry was explosive.

Some guest stars were comedy veterans who blended right in. Others were thrown off at first by how fast we moved. But once they relaxed, they had the time of their lives. Many told us our set was the most fun they’d ever worked on.

And then there were the musicians, athletes, and celebrities who cameo’d just because they loved the show. You’d be shocked how many famous people asked their agents to get them on for even one scene.

The wildest part? Guest stars often had no idea how much the audience would react. Whistles, cheers, roars. It felt like a stadium sometimes. And the guest stars fed off that energy.

Being a Bundy guest star was like being thrown into a tornado, but the fun kind.
