Future Bundy Club Zoom Guests

Darren & David posed us all with a challenge – They need some suggestions for future guests on our Zoom meetings. There are a few obvious choices (Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, David Garrison, Ted McGinley), but this show had SO MANY guest stars, as well as recurring guest stars that we can keep this going for a good amount of time. Below are some of my suggestions…

-Terry Rakolta: Hahahahahahaha, NEVERMIND!
-The Wanker Family Cousins
-Uncle Otto (James ‘Gypsy’ Haake): “All In the Family” (S02E22)
-Cousins Zemus & Ida Mae Wanker (Bobcat Goldthwait & Linda Blair): “Magnificent Seven” (S07E01)
-Effie Wanker (Joey Lauren Adams): “Buck Has a Belly Ache” (S06E06)
***Crazy that she plays a cousin, and returns later to marry a cousin. Oh Wanker County…..***

Another idea that I had was a Zoom discussing family members of the cast appearing on episodes throughout it’s run. Some of those family members include:
-Catherine Rusoff (Ed O’Neill’s wife), Nancy Priddy (Christina Applegate’s mother), Michael Faustino (David Faustino’s brother), Sharyn Leavitt (Ron Leavitt’s wife), Matt & Samantha Leavitt (Ron’s kids).
I am sure that there are some obvious characters that I missed, and I am sure that I sent us down a rabbit hole with some of these others. But why not? Let’s keep this train rolling!

Thank you Christin! All of these characters, storylines, and episodes came to mind easily. But as far as some actor names, episode titles, and production codes I did have to look those up.

There certainly isn’t a shortage of guests, stories, and episode breakdowns. I also like that Greg Fitzsimmons was on the couch and gave his thoughts. Not all guests have to be directly related to MWC, which means there is a while wide world of opportunity for unique perspectives of actors, directors, writers, and more.

That was Dexter’s one and only episode.
For sure! I would love to know if that was an audition for the role of Al’s coworker, or a test to see how the audience & fans would respond to a new character sharing that environment with Al.

Season 8, episode 21 is Dexter’s only appearance. Al’s co-worker at the shoe store. I always wondered why he was only there for one episode.
Yes sir! One episode. Bud & Kelly were in line for concert tickets, said line wove through the shoe store, and you all kept losing your place in line.

How about comedian Jake Johannsen? He was in Season 11, episode 14, and played Al & Peg’s marriage counselor.
How about Jon Lovitz, who was in Season 6, Episode 10, “Kelly Does Hollywood, Part 2”?
I love this. It also be great if Robert Englund could do Halloween episode “Damn BUNDYS”. It be cool to see if Ed and Amanda would do a double dose of Al vs Marcy , two of their best feud episodes. I think they actually would cause they still speak highly of each other. Their feuds and fights made up a lot of the shows core in the later episodes especially.

@normanjablonsky Bill Maher and Pam Anderson on the same couch is the one Zoom I would actually set an alarm for. You are rattling off half the guest stars from memory, which means you logged more hours studying this show than anybody ever spent raising me. You are basically the unpaid casting director at this point.

Those are some great ideas. I would also like to add season 6 episode 14 for Buds girlfriends. The episode where Bud jumps out of an airplane. One of my favorites of all time. So many great lines. That has Bobbie Philips, which I’m just reading was also the girl in the episode we just covered of “if I had a hammer”
@lazbird37 finally, someone remembers I had a love life worth building episodes around. The airplane one is a deep cut and a personal favorite of mine too, for obvious reasons. Good eye spotting Bobbie Philips turning up again in If Al Had a Hammer. This show kept recycling beautiful women through my orbit just to watch me fumble every single one. Season 6 Episode 14, excellent taste.
How about the actors who played the Peases? Season 9, episode 9, “No Pot to Pease In”

@00shoe a guest wishlist this long means you people have more faith in this club’s future than my dad ever had in mine. Count me in. Just don’t let the lineup get so stacked that everybody forgets to invite the one Bundy who actually shows up on time.
