Season 8 Episode 2: Hood ‘n the Boyz
Al and Peg take a second honeymoon at a city motel, where Peg has firm plans. Then an old friend asks Al to deal with a young man running her neighborhood, so Al rounds up the surviving Polk High Panthers and goes to confront him. Nicholas Brendon turns up uncredited in the gang.
Season 8 Episode 1: A Tisket, a Tasket, Can Peg Make a Basket?
Al and Peg go to the NBA All-Star game and swap seats, which puts Peg in the chair drawn for a ten thousand dollar halftime free throw contest. Kelly turns up on the cheerleading squad. Vlade Divac, Clyde Drexler and Xavier McDaniel appear as themselves.
Season 7 Episode 26: The Proposition
A cosmetics magnate and old girlfriend of Al’s turns up in Chicago and offers Peg five hundred thousand dollars for her husband. The family holds a meeting about it. Vanna White guest stars, and the season 7 finale is the last episode Ron Leavitt worked on.
Season 7 Episode 25: Wedding Repercussions
Cousin Jimmy comes back to find out who slept with his wife, and has announced he will beat up everyone on the block until somebody confesses. Bud is the answer and Kelly keeps threatening to tell him. Al’s advice is a formal statement of family doctrine.
Season 7 Episode 24: Old Insurance Dodge
The Dodge is stolen and the Bundys inflate the insurance claim to twenty-five thousand dollars. While it processes, Al takes a series of expensive cars out on extended test drives. Then the police find the Dodge with the trunk still sealed. Kelly proposes paying for a Mercedes by collecting the letter K.
Season 7 Episode 23: ‘Tis Time to Smell the Roses
Al takes early retirement, and Peg spends three thousand dollars of the fund before the first week is out. He goes back to work at a rival shoe store, tries to buy it, and then puts the last six thousand into lottery tickets. Charlene Tilton spends the episode in the living room selling an exercise device.
Season 7 Episode 22: ‘Til Death Do Us Part
Al’s bedroom reputation has become public knowledge and a neighborhood joke, so he sets out to get back in shape. The training goes badly enough that the Darcys have to carry him home unconscious. Peg spends the episode protecting his confidence. The scene everyone remembers involves a flattened squirrel named Zippy.
Season 7 Episode 21: Movie Show
Kelly’s birthday gets forgotten again, and when she cancels a date to spend the evening at the movies with her family, all five of them end up at the multiplex. The episode gives each Bundy an interior monologue over the same film. It is also David Boreanaz’s first credited screen role.
Season 7 Episode 20: Un-Alful Entry
A burglar breaks in, Al knocks him out, and Al becomes a neighborhood hero with sponsorship patches. Then the burglar sues him for his injuries and the family is back in court, with Kelly acting as her father’s attorney. Randall Tex Cobb plays the burglar.
Season 7 Episode 19: Go for the Old
A theater cashier mistakes Al for a senior citizen, and Al decides the discount is worth keeping. He gets a card, abuses it thoroughly, and then enters a senior athletic championship, where for once he is competing against people he can actually beat. Peg’s account of his actual athletic career is the highlight.
