A tornado traps the Bundys and D’Arcys in the basement, and the danger turns out to be an aphrodisiac for Peggy and Marcy. Al and Jefferson spend the storm trying to escape. The season eleven premiere also resolves how Griff got off death row.
A deliveryman asks Kelly out to spite his girlfriend, she retaliates with a millionaire, and all four spend the evening at a diner trying to out-jealous each other. Marcy and Jefferson turn up determined to have an authentic neighborhood experience. A spin-off pilot that never sold.
Kelly’s five-year high school reunion brings back Eric Waters, the taped-glasses nerd she once sent to the top of the Hancock tower stripped to the buff. He has done well for himself and he remembers. At home, Marcy’s toys-for-guns drive arms Al and Peggy.
Bud is fired from the Department of Vehicle Services and ends up apprenticing as a chimney sweep. Al, meanwhile, talks Gary into opening an aerobics studio next door and drills peepholes through the shoe store wall. The clientele is not what he had in mind.
A backdoor pilot set at Trumaine’s campus radio station, where two student DJs interview the new dean of students, Steve Rhoades, and are expelled for it. Bud is in the next studio competing for a girl with a live microphone open.
Al and Griff throw a nursing mother out of the shoe store, and Marcy turns up the next day with her and a grievance. It escalates into duelling protests outside the store with news cameras present. Peg, meanwhile, cannot get a train home. Part one of two.
Peg and Marcy drag their husbands to a Jeffersons stage reunion, so Al and Jefferson pay Bud and Kelly to sit in for them and sneak off to a new sports bar. Joe Namath is behind the counter. An argument about a beer commercial turns into a brawl.
Al goes on a run of good luck and is certain it is a trap, because he has a theory about his own life that does not permit it. Jefferson tries to cash in before it expires. Everything collapses at the end, and Al is the only one who is relieved.
Peggy reads Seven a pirate story and the episode becomes it, with the cast recast into the book’s roles on the most elaborate set the series ever built. David Garrison returns as the villain, which gave him a chance to sing.
Nobody knows when Seven’s birthday is, so the Bundys pick one and take the party to the park, which a rich family has rented for their own son’s party. Meanwhile Bud, Kelly and Al agree that Seven has not suffered enough to deserve the family name. Al ends up in a fight with the boy’s father.
