The Dodge vanishes while the family is at a car wash on the way to Wanker County, and nobody there can account for it. Marcy is at the same car wash trying to get Jefferson a job when Steve Rhoades walks in. The series’ 200th episode.
Kelly gets a beer commercial and then her first pimple, and the home remedy from Wanker County costs her her hair and gives her a goatee. Marcy’s group is picketing the same commercial. Al and Jefferson are waiting on a set of Avengers tapes.
Christmas Eve at the Bundys, in real time and entirely on the property. Kelly and Bud spend the episode trying to smuggle a jukebox into the house. Al and Peg spend it fighting over the remote, with Al refusing to watch It’s a Wonderful Life.
The women get their own bowling night and the nudie bar becomes a coffeehouse, so Al founds NO MA’AM. This is the organization’s first appearance, with Jerry Springer guesting as himself, and the only episode to feature its Five Demands.
The Dodge is stolen and the Bundys inflate the insurance claim to twenty-five thousand dollars. While it processes, Al takes a series of expensive cars out on extended test drives. Then the police find the Dodge with the trunk still sealed. Kelly proposes paying for a Mercedes by collecting the letter K.
A burglar breaks in, Al knocks him out, and Al becomes a neighborhood hero with sponsorship patches. Then the burglar sues him for his injuries and the family is back in court, with Kelly acting as her father’s attorney. Randall Tex Cobb plays the burglar.
Bud founds a fraternity in the Bundy garage to improve his social standing, and it works only after Kelly tells him what to say. Jefferson wants to go to a reunion with his old frat brothers and Marcy says no, so the four adults try to pick a movie instead. It does not go well for anyone.
Bud and Kelly win a contest to have Anthrax come to the house, so they ship their parents off to Florida on what turns out to be a timeshare pitch. It is also Al and Peg’s twentieth anniversary, and Peg wants romance. Back home, the band eats Peg’s Mystery Pack.
Al takes a night job cleaning a private investigator’s office and, when a client walks in, declines to correct her. The episode’s ending reveals that the entire opening stretch of season six was Al’s dream — the series’ largest single retcon.
Al, Bud and Kelly go to Hollywood so a network can take Kelly’s public access show national. Jon Lovitz plays the executive producer who retools it beyond recognition. Al spends the trip pitching his own show ideas to anyone who will stand still. Conclusion of two.
