A teammate’s funeral brings the old Polk High Panthers together, and a rival half back turns up to demand they finally play the championship game that was cancelled in 1966. Both sides recruit, and the other team’s ringers include four real NFL players.
Al takes an overnight job as a school security guard and loses the football trophy on his watch, which costs him the job. Getting it back means confronting Spare Tire Dixon, the rival lineman he beat on the goal line in 1966. Bubba Smith guest stars.
