On a trip to the movies for Kelly's birthday, with Christina Applegate as Kelly, Al, played by Ed O'Neill, walks into the wrong theater, then sticks around when he sees what is showing.

This clip comes from Married with Children Season 7 Episode 21, "Movie Show." For Kelly's birthday, Al hopes to skip the celebration entirely. Instead Kelly cancels a date with her boyfriend and the whole family ends up at the movie theater.

Birthdays in the Bundy house are never about cake and candles. They are about scheming, dodging and surviving, and this one is no exception.

Scenes like this are what made the Bundys one of television's most memorable families. Moments like this are why Married with Children is still quoted today. The writing is sharp, the timing is perfect and the Bundys never try to be anything other than themselves.
