Al's boss pays him a visit at the shoe store after his near death experience. Al has some explaining to do, and the awkwardness is off the charts.

This clip comes from Married with Children Season 1 Episode 12, "Where's the Boss." Here is the setup. Al hears that his boss was reportedly killed in a plane crash, so he goes out and buys an extravagant gift for the grieving family. You can probably guess how well that plan holds up.

The shoe store is where Al Bundy's soul goes to suffer, and the show mined it for some of its sharpest jokes. This scene is a great example of workplace misery played for laughs.

This is the show doing what it did best: taking an everyday situation and pushing it until it becomes completely absurd.
