Al loses his proof of aliens, and not even the dog will stand up for him. Losing the evidence is bad. Being abandoned by your own dog is worse.

This clip comes from Married with Children Season 5 Episode 7, "Married... With Aliens." A bump on the head leaves Al certain that tiny green aliens are stealing his famously smelly socks to use as rocket fuel.

It is a perfect example of the show's fearless sense of humor, and it holds up just as well today.

Scenes like this are what made the Bundys one of television's most memorable families. Moments like this are why Married with Children is still quoted today. The writing is sharp, the timing is perfect and the Bundys never try to be anything other than themselves. This is the show doing what it did best: taking an everyday situation and pushing it until it becomes completely absurd.
